The book has seventeen chapters coming under two Parts namely management of Agricultural and allied Cooperatives, management of Non-Agricultural Cooperatives. The general working of respective cooperatives, issues and problems relating to each type of cooperatives are discussed in each chapter. In whichever areas cooperatives are weaker or non-existent, in such cases the relevance of application of such cooperatives is discussed under "scope for organizing such cooperatives or need to strengthen such cooperatives".
